This video shows how to fully coat your vehicle’s bed. Step by step and easy to replicate.
This guide explains every step to coat your vehicle’s bed: preparation, sanding, priming and spraying the coating. Practical tips & tricks at every step. Durable protection for your bed.
Remove add-on parts and the tailgate (if possible).

Protect vehicle areas with masking paper and film. We recommend a steel-wire tape as the master tape.
Clean floor, sides and tailgate, remove rust if needed and scuff sand.

Recommendation: air sander or electric sander with cup brush.
Important: scuff sand only, do not sand to bare metal.
Use WDC universal cleaner to remove grease, wax and residues.

Prime all surfaces to be coated with AP101 universal primer – by spray gun or brush.

Let AP101 dry at least 20 minutes, max 4 hours – then reapply if exceeded.

See processing guidelines for mix ratios (component A/B, pigment).
Material amount per m² and the spray sequence are defined to achieve maximum protection.

Most exposure: bed & tailgate → higher film thickness recommended.
Bed/tailgate at least 1.5 mm; side walls/edges at least 1 mm. Thicker layers are useful for heavy-duty use.

After a brief dry, apply the desired texture.
Texture influences slip resistance, etc.

Spray from a greater distance to achieve the structure.
What You See Is What You Get: the texture will not change during curing.
After a short wait, carefully remove the master masking tape.

Hard-to-reach areas: wait about 2 hours. Steel wire tape can cut for up to 12 hours.
Let the coating dry at least 12 hours and protect from moisture.

Remove masking, clean up, reinstall tailgate and add-ons.
Finished!

Protection continues to increase as it cures and bonds permanently to the vehicle.
